Soft toys

This half term the children have been busy making soft toys as part of our Design and Technology project. We started the project by looking at a variety of soft toys and drawing and labeling them.The children then practised sewing using a running stitch and an over stitch. All the children had a go at threading a needle and tying a knot.

After the children had planned what soft toy they would like to make we invited parents and grandparents to come and help. All the children came up with some creative and imaginative ideas. We had dragons, dogs, elephants, butterflies, people, fish and lots more.
