  1. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). Grade E16 – E22 (£24,432 – £27,514 per annum pro rata).
    Applications are invited for the post of Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school including covering classes for PPA. Applicants must hold a HLTA qualification. 
    Ideally you will have a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and experience of working with pupils with a range of needs.  You will have initiative and be a confident communicator, with effective numeracy and literacy skills and knowledge communication and interaction difficulties.
    This is a full time, permanent position of 27.50 hrs per week (term time only). 
    Candidates will:

2. Teaching Assistant. Grade C4 – C6 (£19,264 – £20,043 per annum pro rata)
Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 2.
Ideally you will have a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and experience of working with pupils with a range of needs.  You will have initiative and be a confident communicator, with effective numeracy and literacy skills and knowledge communication and interaction difficulties.
This is ideally a full time position of 27.50 hrs per week (term time only) although part-time arrangements may be considered if they can meet the school’s requirements of the role. The post is temporary until 31st July 2024 in the first instance due to anticipated changes in funding.

3. Clerk to Governors
The Governing Body of Ottery St Mary Primary School is looking to appoint a highly
organised individual with a professional manner and effective communication skills to
support its work.
Duties will include attendance and minute taking at governors’ meetings, the preparation
and electronic distribution of agendas, minutes and correspondence for all meetings,
maintaining a policy review cycle and an annual cycle of governor business, supporting
the induction of new governors and guiding the Governing Body on procedural matters.
Discretion and flexibility, plus excellent organisational and computer skills are essential in
this role.
Experience working as Clerk to a Governing body or in schools is desirable, but not
essential as training and support will be provided.
The hours will be 330 per annum to be worked flexibly to fit in with the cycle of governing
body business during the year. The post will be payable on a Grade D: hourly rate £10.60
