Year 3 have enjoyed immersing themselves in French this week. We were very lucky to have a special visitor who came into teach us about her home country of France. We learnt about the capital city of Paris and how to meet and greet in French. We learnt about French food specialities and traditions.
We designed and created our own French menus and opened our very own French café. Taking it in turns to be a waiter and waitresses and being waited upon we spent the morning enjoying a leisurely brunch listening to the best of traditional French accordion cafe music. We practiced asking to be seated at a table, ordering what we wanted to eat and drink and asking for the bill. Some of us surprised ourselves with how much French we could speak and really gave it a good go!
