This week we have ventured to Cornwall to the Eden Project to learn more about our science topic – plants! The children have been looking forward to this trip for a while and it did not disappoint. Both classes delved into the world of horticulture with a Feast for the Senses workshop and an exploratory trail around the biomes. We discovered how we can use all our senses to explore the natural world that surrounds us and we helped Fleur rediscover her senses in the Mediterranean Biome. After lunch, we explored the Rainforest Biome and enjoyed a plant hunt and learning about the discovery of different spices. We all agreed that the highlight of our day was the cloud bridge and the waterfall, experiencing the climate of a rainforest first hand.

Thank you to all our helpers and for providing your children with this wonderful opportunity, we’re sure you’ll hear about it for days to come!

Here are a few of our photos from the day.
