Dear Parents/Carers,
Following discussions with the drain engineers this afternoon, I am delighted to say they’ve informed us that we have a serviceable drain and can therefore reopen on Friday 27th April.  Whilst I appreciate there have been a lot of fluid arrangements this week, we have at all times been acting on the advice we have been receiving from the drain engineers to ensure the safety of our children.

I’d like to thank you all of the staff and children for reacting so positively to the different arrangements and for working so hard to ensure that we were able to provide education for 3 of our year groups. I’d also like to thank all of our parents from every year group for their patience, understanding and support during this unexpectedly trying time.

We would like to extend our thanks to Kimberley and the kitchen team for providing the children with a choice of packed lunches.

Our huge thanks go to Mr Gammon and all the staff and pupils at the King’s School, and also to all involved at the Scouts for allowing us to use their facilities to provide education for our children. We are additionally very grateful to Natalie and the team at Busy Otters for their co-operation with this, and apologise for the inconvenience this has caused them.

As regards tomorrow, we understand that some families may have made prior childcare arrangements based on the original arrangement, and we will honour those arrangements given the short notice people have received through circumstances beyond our control.

It will be nice to be back home!

Yours sincerely

Mark Gilronan
