Year 2 kicked off Wellbeing Week with a visit from Fire and Rescue expert Dan and a well-earned yoga session with Rachel. Lots of children (and some adults) began the day with one of our 5 ways to wellbeing by walking into school to keep active and ensure they’re ready to learn.

The children learned about fire safety which included stop, drop and roll as well as what equipment fire fighters use to keep safe when rescuing people or animals from fires and the varying tasks of a firefighter.

In yoga, we practiced breathing techniques and were introduced to various different poses including the tree, mountain pose, downward dog and warrior pose.

The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and we have lots of other wellbeing activities planned for the rest of the week.
