Recently Class 12 was asked to complete a homework activity that asked them to look into inventions that originated from the Victorian era.  What arrived back at school was impressive to say the very least!!! We had some wonderfully crafted PowerPoint presentations, some mightily impressive booklets, bright and informative posters and even a couple of Penny Farthings.

Two pieces however stood out for sheer effort, detail and achievement. James and Emily both produced a model of two very different inventions from our Victorian past. James made a camera, and Emily a rather impressive working light bulb. Not content with impressive workmanship needed to produce the quality models, they both also produced a ‘hidden’ workbook that once uncovered from the internal workings of the models went on to provide some wonderful facts about the inventions and inventors of the time. A truly outstanding effort!! Well done to the both of you.
