Year 3 were extremely lucky to welcome a very special visitor to launch our Art Week.
Local artist and mum to Gracie, Mrs. Parkyn was the perfect visitor to inspire us in our experimental art session.

Using a range of materials (charcoal, pastels, chalk, ink, pencils, crayons) Year 3 embraced their natural desire to explore and experiment. We thoroughly enjoyed the sensory and physical experience of mark making and enjoyed learning how we can control our marks using different techniques. Using nature’s brushes with ink on white paper was a joy for all and all of the adults loved watching our creativity thrive and evolve (even if it was a little messy!).
Some of us even experimented with things that we would hope not to find in nature.
