The children in EYFS have been out and about again, this time visiting West Town Farm in Ide. We had a magnificent time, definitely a highlight of this half term.

It was an extremely busy day which included seeing a calf, which was only a day old, feeding lambs, picking apples straight from the tree and making and tasting apple juice. The children experienced feeding acorns to pigs, harvesting pumpkins and then making pumpkin soup. They even had the chance to pretend to drive the tractor, play in hay bales and enjoy a story around the campfire. Therefore managing to tick off a few things on the National Trust’s  ’50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4″ activity list.

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to the staff at West Town Farm for developing such an educational and wonderful experience for our children. Also, a huge well done to all the children in EYFS for being so engaged and well behaved.
