Painting a Perfect Pharaoh

Long before Cleopatra, a woman ruled Egypt for twenty-five years. Her name was Hatsheput and she was the first woman to ever become pharaoh.

In our art lessons this term we have been learning about important people of history (linked to our Ancient Egyptian topic) by studying their portraits. Kiana carefully sketched and painted this picture, taking great care and effort. I was so impressed at her dedication and Kiana was immensely proud of her achievement too. What a perfect painting! It shows all of Kiana’s learning encapsulated in a wonderful piece of art work.
