Layla’s Evacuee Letter Home

The children imagined they were a child from London who had been sent away from their parents to the safety of the countryside and this was their first letter home. Layla was able to empathise with what it would have been like to have been separated from her family and expressed this clearly in her letter. She also included facts learnt during history lessons about World War 2.
