Wellbeing Week is all about promoting everybody’s mental health, physical health and sense of feeling safe, linked into the PSHE curriculum and crossing over many more subject areas!

So far in Wellbeing Week we have started every day with ‘Wake and Shake’ in Key Stages and all the children have been making huge efforts for Walk to School Week.

The whole school has enjoyed Yoga with Rachel from Mini-Me Yoga. We learnt breathing exercises and some yoga poses.

The Fire and Rescue Service has been into Years 2 and 5 and discussed fire safety and the important STOP, DROP AND ROLL action.

John from the RNLI gave an assembly to the whole school about water safety. We learnt about the role of lifeguards and what each flag tells us on the beach.

The KS2 children had a fabulous time trying out Street Sledges in the playground. It was great fun!

Coming up later in the week:

Healthy diets/ lifestyles and First Aid are being taught in a variety of classes. Exeter City are running a nutrition and healthy lifestyles workshop with Year 5. Mrs Gotting and some students from Kings are coming to work with KS2 on Thursday to give the children an opportunity to practice Mindfulness. It all rounds off nicely on Friday with our Celebration of Dance – what a wonderful week full of things that will promote the pupils wellbeing!

A special thank you to all our visitors for coming in this week, they have brought the learning to life.
