School Changes

School provision from September 2020:

We are looking forward to welcoming our children back to school in September. Full details of our new arrangements for drop off and collection times can be found in our Parent Handbook. Prior to the September start, we have invited children to take part in transition activities on their new year group’s googleclassroom. Please contact the school if you have been unable to access this and we will be able to offer support.

We have completed a Risk Assessment ahead of our September opening. Please note that this is kept under constant review.

Coronavirus symptoms – advice and links for parents

There are a number of useful sites and guides that parents can refer to if they notice any of the symptoms of coronavirus within their household. Public Health England have produced the following guide to support households:

Stay at home: What to do if you or someone you share your home with has coronavirus symptoms

The government has also produced the following guidance for parents as part of their return to school programme:

Stay at home guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus (Covid-19) infection

Wellbeing:

It is understandable that some children and families may have concerns about mental health, anxieties and pupil wellbeing ahead of the September re-opening. Please see our wellbeing resources for more information on how school and home can work together to support our children.

Communication in print resources:

Parents and carers may find it helpful to use the following documents with their children prior to them rejoining us. These documents have been produced using ‘communication in print’, an accessible ‘symbol’ based system which we use in school for visual timetables etc.

Returning to School September 2020 – This document goes into greater detail around the key changes in the school day and environment.

Transitioning back to school – This document can be used to help your child discuss their worries / concerns.

My Lockdown Experience – This document can be used to produce a ‘pupil profile’ to be shared with their class teacher.
