We are a two form entry school and accept children from Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 6. We have space for 60 children in every year group which gives us a total capacity of 420. Currently we have 410 on roll.
We are very lucky to have a large modern building and our own field, outdoor areas, allotment (with chickens), a double decker bus library and swimming pool. These facilities allow us to enrich our curriculum and provide a wide range of learning opportunities for our children.
We work closely with all the schools in our local learning community: The King's School, West Hill Primary, Feniton Church of England Primary, Tipton St John Church of England Primary and Payhembury Church of England Primary. Through the local learning community we aim to provide opportunities for collaborative learning for the children in every school and also to aid the eventual transition of our children to secondary school.
We also have close links with the town's pre-schools, Coleridge pre-school and Busy Otters pre-school (who are on site).
We encourage the children to be independent and to use their initiative. Our Year 6 classes provide us with our House Captains and Sports Leaders who work hard with all the children throughout the school on events and activities. We also have a dynamic School Council and Green Team which allow the children to develop their ideas and prepare for life beyond our gates.
